This is a review and detailed measurement of the ifi nano iDSD Black edition portable DAC and headphone amplifier. Bit-perfect+ is only available for sample rates of 96kHz or lower. It is a category DAC, the Burr-Brown chip that it carries is all sweet, very crystalline, it does not color the sound, it is analytical and represents the sound with great quality. The amplification section seems fair to me, but I give it five stars anyway because it seems to me just an addition that is appreciated, I recommend connecting it to an independent amplifier for the balanced outputs, and that is when the sound is shown in all its breadth and quality. I use it in long listening sessions and it stays cold as an iceberg, it is a perfect DAC and also very aesthetic, it is not that expensive for the quality of the product, if you are willing to make this investment it seems to me a totally recommendable option. The iFi micro iDSD Black Label is surely expensive: at £599 it is thrice the price of the nano version and even more than full-featured desktop devices.
